Systemic Safety Analysis Report (City of Sonoma)

Systemic Safety Analysis Report (City of Sonoma)

A systemic safety analysis was prepared by W-Trans for the City of Sonoma in accordance with the Systemic Safety Analysis Report Program Guidelines developed by the Division of Local Assistance within Caltrans.  The process included collecting citywide collision data for the most recent five-year period, analyzing the collision trends and geographic concentrations to identify systemic issues, performing corridor and intersection collision rate calculations, field investigations of systemic and hot-spot collision locations, identifying potential low-cost systemic countermeasures to mitigate primary collisions trends, recommending intersection and corridor improvements to reduce the likelihood of future collisions, determining the benefit/cost ratio of the proposed countermeasures and improvements, and prioritizing the improvements based the benefit/cost ratio.
