19 Oct SR 9 Safety and Traffic Operations Analysis (Town of Los Gatos)
As part of an on-call services agreement, W-Trans worked with Town staff on a safety study of Los Gatos-Saratoga Road between the west Town Limit and Los Gatos Boulevard. The study was initiated after a fatal collision between an eastbound motorist and a pedestrian using a striped crosswalk at Massol Avenue. Recommendations were made to improve the safety of the crossing at Massol Avenue as well as for pedestrian and bicyclist safety along the entire corridor, including connections to the Los Gatos Creek trail and the interchange at State Route 17.
