Old Redwood Highway Corridor and Roundabout Designs (Town of Windsor)

The Town of Windsor approved a large mixed use development that will replace a mobile home park with multi-family housing and retail/commercial land uses. The project includes frontage improvements that will convert Old Redwood Highway (formerly designated as US 101 Business) to a Complete Street with modern roundabouts, green bike lanes, pedestrian scale and overhead lighting, speed reduction striping patterns, and a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon at a mid-block crosswalk. W-Trans is preparing designs of the roundabout alignments, striping, signing, lighting, and one traffic signal modification. Phase 1A is currently under construction and Phase 1B is in design.
