Citywide Safe Routes to School Plan (City of Stockton)

As part of a consultant team, W-Trans has been providing engineering site reviews of 60-plus schools in the City of Stockton.  Existing field conditions were surveyed and records of pedestrian and bike collision that occurred within each of the school attendance boundaries over the past ten years reviewed.  Preliminary recommendations addressed uncontrolled pedestrian crosswalks, traffic calming measures, school access improvements, and striping modifications to allow for safer routes to school for pedestrians and bicyclists.
