Central Stockton Road Diet & Striping Connections (City of Stockton)

This project for the City of Stockton included the design of bicycle facilities within the existing available paved street for several corridors in central Stockton. This involved complete street traffic engineering exercises, reviewing existing parking demand, assessing the proposed modifications for feasibility and effects on vehicle operations, drafting preliminary design plans, and conducting a robust public involvement process. Currently, the preliminary design plans are being modified per the public feedback received, and will eventually be finalized into construction-ready plans. The design includes bicycle routes, bicycle lanes, buffered bicycle lanes, and a four-to-three lane road diet. W-Trans is leading a team of consultants to deliver these project elements within the framework of the public involvement process, and the geometric and political constraints of the study corridors.
