Stephen Weinberger, PE, PTOE
Principal

Mr. Weinberger has worked as a transportation consultant in Northern California since 1982 and has partnered with Dalene Whitlock since 1992.  His experience covers the range from traditional transportation planning and traffic engineering operations and design to a “complete street” approach that balances competing transportation needs within the existing public right-of-way.  He has managed a large number of corridor studies that focused on developing measures to transform vehicle-dominated arterials to systems that provide more livable conditions for all users by incorporating traffic calming schemes, lane reallocation techniques, roundabouts and traffic control systems that favor local traffic, bicyclists and pedestrians.  He has taken an active role in developing W-Trans’ expertise with pedestrian crossing safety measures and has helped guide the evolution of W-Trans’ services to be more inclusive of all transportation modes and sustainability goals.

Steve is our resident chef who enjoys creating dishes on the fly and has mixed in landscape painting as another creative outlet.  He is also an avid Cal Bears and Duke University (his wife's alma mater) athletics fan as well as other Bay Area sports.  Steve was born and raised in the East Bay, currently resides in Sebastopol with his wife, and has two adult children.
