Chris Helmer
Planner
Mr. Helmer has been with W-Trans since 2003. His transportation planning experience includes numerous traffic impact studies, environmental impact reports, speed zone studies, mixed-use parking evaluations, operational analyses, signal and turn-lane warrant evaluations, traffic collision analyses, evaluation of alternative modes of transportation, estimating the effectiveness of in-roadway and overhead pedestrian warning devices, and studies for citywide traffic impact fees. As a project manager, he coordinates with technical and support staff to complete all project related tasks in a timely manner, and consults with public agency and private sector clients to ensure all analyses are performed accurately and satisfactorily.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys playing in an indoor co-ed soccer league where his wife and daughters are his biggest fans. He also enjoys other recreational activities like hiking, camping, mountain bicycling, and water skiing. In his spare time he often finds himself knee-deep in home improvement projects on his house in Santa Rosa.
